What is the service?
Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurses provide specialist advice, clinical support to all children with diabetes, their families and carers throughout North Somerset. The Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse work in close collaboration with the diabetes team at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and Seashore Unit at Weston General Hospital.
Who is this service for?
All children with insulin dependent diabetes, type 2 diabetes and monogenic diabetes and children with impaired glucose tolerance.

Access to this service is by Consultant Paediatrician referral - access to the Consultant Paediatrician is by referral from your GP.
